About Department
Department of Economics started in the year 2020.The undergraduate programme in Economics provides a strong foundation in economic theory and quantitative tools of economic analysis. It also familiarises students with shifts in development paradigms with particular reference to the state of India’s people in pre and post-independence period. The Department has its distinctive ethos where the faculty continually strives to walk as co-learners with the students on the path of knowledge building. The course structure incorporates a balance of Theoretical Analysis & Quantitative Reasoning. Students are trained by competitive faculty which seeks to prepare well equipped economists who can tackle new emerging imperatives in economics.
